The Bangsmoro government has sent today relief assistance to Muslim residents who were displaced by fire on April 28, 2021 in Brgy. Ilang, Bunawan District in Davao City.
“Ramadan is truly to feel the pain and suffering of those who are in need and to help in whatever capacity we can. We are one,” said Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo, Bangsamoro government’s interior and local government minister and head of Bangsamoro READi.
The Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READi) under the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) brought 250 relief goods containing 10 kilos of rice, canned goods, coffee. The Ministry of Health sent out 250 hygiene kits consisting towel, malong, toothbrush, toothpaste, bath and laundry soap, alcohol, and sanitary napkin. The Ministry of Social Services and Development brought 250 sleeping kits that contains five malongs, mat and mosquito net.
“We thank the City Of Davao for welcoming the assistance from the Bangsamoro. We acknowledge with gratitude the partnership of the MSSD and MOH and thank the Chief Minister for providing us the direction,” Minsiter Sinarimbo said.
The Bangsamoro government, through the Bangsamoro READi in coordination with MOH and MSSD have recently sent assistance to the region’s neighbors who were affected by Tropical Storm Auring in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.
